Twas the Bite before Christmas started 15 years ago, spearheaded by Dan Meadowcroft and a group of caring volunteers who saw the need for change and wanted to make a difference. The goal has always been to bring the community together to Fight Hunger, Feed Hope and Enpower the People in need.
Through a series of events including “Twas the Bite Before Christmas”, they have made a significant contribution to the Mississauga Food Banks including The Compass, SEVA, Eden Food for Change, Breakfast with Santa Foundation and many other small charities and not-for-profit organizations, shelters, and Open Tables. Over the years, they have raised more than $1 million. The donations help to continue to provide for families in need. RCOM contributed $850 to a fundraising event for Food Banks Mississauga with Twas the Bite Before Christmas. 10 Rotarians are pleased to participate in this community event.
