Rick Hansen Seconday School's Interact Winter Food Drive, was conducted from December 4th to December 15th, the school was successful in collecting food item donations from each classroom!
The goal was to aid individuals in need, which aligned with the club's core purpose. In addition, they intended to increase Interact Club's visibility in the school community. Homeroom classes were strongly encouraged to participate by donating. Initially, contributions directly supported families within the school facing challenges. Any extra donations were provided to nearby food banks.
The school community demonstrated incredible charity, resulting in a total of 1080 food items collected!! The top classes each donated approximately 200 items demonstrating the wide impact of their collective efforts.
