9 Rotarians attended the inaugural gala awards dinner hosted by the Citizens of Advancement and Community Development.
Founder Ron Cunningham stopped by our Rotary table as well as Councillor Stephen Dasko, Martin Reid and Linden King posed with Rotarian Shelley Scott-England. It was an impressive night with the Speaker of the House, Greg Fergus, as key note speaker as well as addresses from Consul General of Jamaica Kurt Davis, Dr. Macaulay Kalu, Secretary General of African Union Sixth Region Global, Region of Peel on social justice and equity and more.
Lorraine Crow presented the Corporate Partnership award on behalf of Rotary to Russell Pooley for his 46 years of service to diverse city initiatives such as Carassauga, Adult Community Services and CACD.
Performances by many local entertainers lifted the spirits of all.
